Released just last week (on the 22nd) Tokyo Police Club’s new album Elephant Shell has broken through and occupied the 11th spot on this diverse and top quality list. The Toronto band has always attracted attention with their high energy shows, their unique yet familiar sound and their quirky talent. Elephant Shell is as good as any sophomore album in years. Tokyo Police Club maintain the captivating sound that initially drew people in and press forward with experimental and sharp tracks starring wicked hooks and intelligent rock.

“The fresh way to discover music” – Music IP

Music discovery is a wonderful way to spend/waste time. Music IP – among their many other functions – is one of the best sites on the web for discovering music. Within the playground, all you have to do is type in an artist or song and it will give you a handful of other artists or songs that you’re bound to like.

I typed in Hot Hot Heat. From there, it gave me their two albums, I chose Make up the Breakdown. From there it gave me all of the songs from the album. I chose Talk to Me, Dance with Me because of the unique (yet British inspired) sound and wanted to see what recommendations it gave me.
