It is not &#8220;Weller&#8217;s best record since [fill in your favorite album here.]&#8221; It is a complete flowering of every musical impulse this artistic polymath has previously hinted at, and then some: rock, funk, soul, freak folk, free jazz, krautrock, classical, spoken word, electronica, and beyond.</p> <p>Bio&#8230;</p> <p>Weller was the leader and creator behind the formation of two successful <span class="mw-redirect">bands</span>, <strong>The Jam</strong> and <strong>The Style Council</strong> before starting a successful solo career. He has remained essentially a national rather than an international star, possibly because much of his <span class="mw-redirect">songwriting</span> is rooted in <span class="mw-redirect">English culture</span>.
