I saw this show last night and it was ridiculous… “the soft skeleton” band wasn’t there as was claimed would be on the ticket I purchased. She played about 6 songs before stopping halfway through “dr. blind” complaining that the songs that the audience were enjoying were “so sad” and how she didn’t feel like playing them. She then invited audience members on stage to play whatever they liked while she sat on a speaker and watched…. yeah so I’m currently trying to get my money back and if you saw this show I suggest you do the same. If your ticket says “Emily Haines and the Soft Skeleton” on it and the soft skeleton isn’t there I don’t believe any of us who attended got what we paid for

That’s pretty crazy. No appearance by The Soft Skeleton…
So, audience members were playing instruments on stage? Was it mish mash?
In the words of The Dude…that’s a bummer man.
If anyone else was at the gig, I’d love to hear from you.

Pink Dead Whale was fantastic. I wished he played a longer set. People were starting to move by the end and I’m sure they’d be dancing if the Whale played more songs.

Thanks Joshareen,
I heard from a few people now that PDW was great.
They will be at The Cat’s Eye on April 3rd and at Tiger bar on April 11th. Both should be killer gigs.

While Soft Skeleton wasn’t there and sadly Emily didn’t do good, Lyra Brown was quite good. Especially considering that was I think her second gig.
I’m excited to know what Lyra is planning to do.
