Although I never knew Jeff I have something in common with his parents. Jeff had a childhood cancer that robbed him of his sight. Childhood cancers are so unlike adult cancers in that they grow fast and have quite often spread by the time the child is diagnosed. As I said, I have something in common with Jeff’s Parent, my daughter is a long survivor of a different and rare childhood cancer, just like Jeff had been till a few years ago when his childhood cancer, retinoblastoma came back.

From know what kind of person my daughter is I know that Jeff’s vision loss was probably a blessing as he truly learned to appreciate life almost always happy and accommodating.

As is said whenever we lose a child to caner Jeff earned his wings, it took a lot longer than the others … you WILL be missed Jeff.
