Here are a selction of standout tracks that anchored my driving Sunday soundtrack.
Joel Plaskett’s Ashtray Rock might be my favorite release of 2007. I don’t know if a day will come when at least one track …read more

Artist Profile: The Cliks

It took a blogger in Austin Texas during SXSW to introduce me to The Cliks.  Finding out I was from Toronto, the lead blogger for Austin Sound Check indicated that one of her favorite bands was from our humble abode – a band called The Cliks who ’sound a bit like early Pretenders.’
The Cliks are known for their blazing, uncompromising live performances.  Their brand of rock is a throwback to what is fresh again.   In this same breath,The Cliks will be opening  for The Cult at The Sound academy tonight (April 12).
Late ticket pickups can be sought after here.

Juno Cup Update from Calgary

Juno Cup Update from Calgary

A good friend is out in Calgary as Site and Logistics Manager for the Juno Awards.
I got a text regarding the Juno Cup,
The Juno Cup was an energy charged game last night. The rockers may have lost for the 5th year in a row but they fought hard with a score of 16-15. Even thought the Juno Cup is a friendly game between the Rockers and the NHL greats, accidents do happen. Unfortunately, Mike Hollett one of the original Rockers, broke his leg at the end of the second period. Michael was taken to Foothills Hospital …read more
