Thanks for the comments you two. Xavier Rudd really is one of those artists you need to experience live. As strange or as corny as it sounds, you creat a bind with Rudd and with his music when seeing and hearing it live.

I was one of the previous Rudd fans Mike mentioned above, I discovered him while touring Europe. I exchanged ipods with a fellow traveller, who was a native of Australia, and I was blown away by his recorded tracks. However, the recordings did not completely convey the immense talent of Xavier Rudd, and I was pleased to discover that he is one of those artists who needs to be experienced in concert to be believed. The natural vibe of his songs, his modest stage persona, and the span of his instrumentation and diverse musical trappings combine together to create a musical experience that is soulful and moving. I am eagerly awaiting his next performance!

I’m one of the first timers you were mentioning, and I was floored. Just one of the most unique performers I’ve ever seen, and aside from the originality of his multi-instrument approach, the guy’s voice was just unreal. The last song of the night “Land Rights” hit me like a ton of bricks and has been in my head all week. Thanks for a great show, and great company.
