Artist Profile: Secret Japanese Girlfriend
Local Toronto band Secret Japanese Girlfriend various is a collection of musicians from local bands – notably Mason Hornets. Secret Japanese Girlfriend will take the stage tomorrow night at the Horseshoe Tavern for Nu Music Nite. This should be an interesting gig, as Secret Japanese Girlfriend will float through some of their spacey minimalist material. Their sound is ambitious and at times too ambitious when partnered with their shallow and often off-key lyrics. However, the band is working towards finding something really cool, and eventually they will stumble upon it.
