Handsome Furs @ Lee’s Palace Tonight

Dark and minimal while noisy and earnest…Handsome Furs will be at Lee’s Palace tonight (Thursday December 20th).  This should be a good venue to catch the Montreal alterna-rock band as the sightlines are good, the acoustics will fit their sound and you’ll be mesmerized with only about 300-400 others.
‘HANDSOME FURS’ […]

Top 10 Musicians/Bands to bring to your office holiday party

Office holiday parties can be pretty lame, but throw the following into the mix and you’re sure to create a killer shaker: a variety of alcoholic beverages, some incredibly talented musicians/bands, politically charged artists, half a dozen strong and weird personalities, a band no one likes, a few legends and a chainsaw. Looking for a good ‘ice breaker’ at your lame office holiday party? Throw a shirtless Iggy Pop into the room and see what happens.

New Years w The Sadies

Denim and whiskey are impenetrable forces of cool.  As a band, if you have these, you can get away with a lot.   That’s why alt-country, psychedelic-rock band The Sadies still kick ass despite their girly name. The Sadies will be kicking ass on December 31st for one of the cities coolest New Year’s gigs.
The Sadies […]
